Cloise Ann Boyd, 66, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, passed away on January 19, 2026, at Hospice of the Chesapeake of Charles County.
Born on February 28, 1959, in Beeville, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Irion and Elizabeth Morgan.
Cloise found her greatest happiness in her family, especially her two children and her grandchildren. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, always open to anyone who needed a place to stay โ whether for a night or however long it took to lend a helping hand.
She had a deep love for simple joys and meaningful traditions. Cloise enjoyed cooking for family and friends, fishing and crabbing, gardening and tending to her flowers โ if it bloomed, she made room for it. She took pride in home canning and making jelly, often sharing her creations with others. Bird watching brought her peace, particularly spotting hummingbirds. She also cherished quiet moments spent watching her favorite soap operas and caring for all kinds of pets.
Professionally, Cloise dedicated more than 30 years to the printing industry. She worked at Printing Press, Inc. in Leonardtown, Maryland, alongside the late George Klear, Pritzi Ely, Kerry Klear and Jill Klear. Her commitment and loyalty made her a valued member of the business and the community.
She is survived by her husband, James Boyd; her son, James Morgan; her daughter, Elizabeth Morgan; her sister, Kathy Day; her brothers, Charles Irion and Allen Morgan; and her sister, Karen Arthur.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Morgan.
For all who took the time to know her, Cloise left a lasting impression. She will be deeply and sadly missed.
A service honoring her life will be held on February 28, 2026.
