Solomons, MD – On Friday, Dec. 23 at 8:25 p.m. authorities in Calvert County reported a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on South Solomons Island Road. Reports from the scene indicated the accident occurred in front of Stoney’s Kingfisher Restaurant.
Police reported the pedestrian was severely injured and a helicopter was requested. Fire and rescue personnel reported the injured pedestrian is an elderly male who sustained head and leg injuries. The unidentified male was flown to a regional hospital.
