St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigation detectives served a criminal summons for sexual abuse of a minor, on Joseph Norman Herbert, 56 from Great Mills, on Aug. 28.
The charges stemmed from an investigation into the abuse of a 12-year-old girl in 2004, by Herbert, while she temporarily resided in his home.
