
The deadline to request a 2014 Gubernatorial General Election absentee ballot for mail delivery is Tuesday, October 28, 2014.ย The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the general election for online delivery is Friday, October 31, 2014.ย Any registered voter in Maryland may request and vote by absentee ballot.
A voter who wishes to vote by absentee ballot may request an absentee ballot (1) online for voters with a Maryland driverโs license or MVA-issued ID card; (2) by submitting a signed application;ย (3) by telephone;ย (4) inย writing;ย orย (5) inย personย atย theย voterโsย localย boardย of elections.ย Visitย www.elections.maryland.gov/voting/absentee.html to request an absentee ballot online, to print an application, or to locate the address and contact information for your local board of elections
If a voter wishes to receive an absentee ballot by mail, the voterโs local board of elections must receive a completed absentee ballot application:
- If the request is mailed, by 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014
- If the request is submitted online or by email or fax, by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014
If a voter wishes to receive an absentee ballot online, the voterโs local board of elections mustย receive a completed absentee ballot application:
- If the request is mailed, by 5:00 pm on Friday, October 31, 2014
- If the request is submitted online or by email or fax, by 11:59 pm on Friday, October 31, 2014
If a voter misses the applicable deadline, the absentee ballot request must be made in personย at a local board of elections.
The 2014 Gubernatorial General Election is Tuesday, November 4, 2014.ย Starting Thursday, October 23rd through and including Thursday, October 30th, voters may vote in person between 10am and 8pm at the designated early voting center(s) in their county of residence.ย Early voting locations and hours and additional election-related information and dates are available at www.elections.maryland.gov/voting/early_voting.html.
