ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Maryland State Board of Elections (SBE) reminds voters that the deadline to request a mail-in ballot for the 2024 primary election is approaching. The deadline depends on the method a voter chooses for receiving their mail-in ballot.
For voters who want to receive a mail-in ballot via mail or fax, their request must be received (not just mailed) or submitted online by Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Request a mail-in ballot via fax or mail (Spanish version).
Voters who want to receive a mail-in ballot via email must submit their request online by 11:59 p.m. on May 10, 2024. (Request a mail-in ballot online).
Completed mail-in ballots can be submitted in one of two ways:
BY MAIL: Make sure your mail-in ballot is postmarked by or before 8 p.m. on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 14, 2024. To ensure your ballot is counted, SBE recommends that you return it as soon as you fill it out.
BY HAND: You may also hand-deliver your ballot to a ballot drop box or local board of elections by 8 p.m. on Primary Election Day. Ballot drop box locations are listed online (Spanish version). Ballot drop boxes will be locked at 8 p.m. The locations of local board of elections are also listed online.
“For voters choosing to cast their ballot by mail, we encourage you to make a plan and be mindful of these important deadlines,” said State Administrator Jared DeMarinis. “Casting a mail-in ballot is a convenient and trusted option to exercise your right to vote.”
Voters may also cast their ballots in person during early voting, which began Thursday, May 2, 2024, and ends Thursday, May 9, 2024, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. They may also vote in person on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 14, from 7 a.m. to 8 pm.

concerning the criminal justice system, concerning judges. Its ok to be insulted by a search warrant. Do the police use what they learn from a search warrant for personal gain? When you get a search warrant, when is the stuff going to be returned? If money is taken, will it be returned with interest>? Would you rather be served a search warrant from a judge thats going to do a full term or not? If someone is 55+ when they’re elected, they won’t doa full term.
