Deborah “Debbie” Ann Cooke, 67, of Brandywine, MD, passed away on August 23, 2024. Born on October 25, 1956, in Washington, DC, to Robert “Bobby” and Lottie “Bernice” Seger, Debbie spent her entire life in Baden, MD.

After graduating high school, Debbie began a distinguished 34-year career with the Prince George’s County Court System, where she retired as Deputy Clerk of the Court. Her dedication and service left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community.

Debbie’s love story began in her hometown, where she met Ronald “Ronnie” Cooke. They were married for 46 years and shared a life filled with joy. They welcomed their daughter, Kyndele who was a great source of pride and happiness for them.

Following her retirement, Debbie enjoyed working at R&D Cross and serving the community. Her greatest joy, however, was being a grandmother. She embraced this role with boundless affection and enthusiasm, and her grandchildren brought her immense joy.

Although legally mom to one (Kyndele), sister to two brothers (Jimmy, Ronnie) and Grammy to three (Kaylin, TJ, Lottie), close family friends (Charlie, Neil) niece (Jennifer), and great nieces (Jaden, Jema, Carter, Carly) considered her their sister, mom, and Grammy as well.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; her beloved daughter, Kyndele Rhudy (Tim); her brothers, James Seger (Mary) and Ronald Seger (Sharon), her adoring grandchildren (Kaylin, TJ, and Lottie) and many adored nieces and nephews.
