WHITE PLAINS, Md. — Firefighters responded to a reported deck fire Sunday evening in White Plains, according to emergency dispatch reports.

The incident was reported around 8:52 p.m. on April 5, 2026, in the 11500 block of Sulphur Hills Place. Multiple callers reported visible flames coming from the rear deck of a home.

Crews arrived to find fire on the exterior deck and quickly began extinguishment efforts. The fire was brought under control in a short time, preventing it from spreading further into the residence.

Emergency personnel checked the interior of the home for any extension of the fire and confirmed that the flames were contained to the deck area.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
