Car Control Clinics for teen drivers will be returning to Calvert County.ย This program has been scheduled to occur before fall sports practices and high school classes begin, when newly licensed teens will be driving to and from school.ย This next program is comprised of:
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย A 1ยฝ hour discussion during the evening of Thursday, July 29; and
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย A 4 hour, behind-the-wheel defensive driving program specifically developed to assist teens with advanced driving skills, such as emergency braking and wet weather driving on either Saturday, July 31st or Sunday, August 1st.ย There are two driving sessions each day to choose from.ย
The classroom session is held in the Calvert High School media center and the driving skills are taught by professional drivers on Calvert High Schoolโs rear parking lot.ย Teens can be in either the learnerโs permit or driverโs licensure stage and a parent will ride in the passenger seat when their teen is driving.ย A maximum of ten teen/parent teams will be scheduled for each session to ensure individual attention.ย
