
LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary’s County Museum Division is pleased to announce that the 2025 Dinner and a Cruise Series has kicked off with a renewed partnership with Morris Point Restaurant. These themed cruises offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy a fun evening of cruising on the St. Clement’s Island Water Taxi, a delicious seafood dinner at Morris Point and more.
The run of seven cruises kicked off on April 27, 2025, highlighting the theme, “The Civil War & the Potomac River” as part of the Black Diamond Disaster commemoration weekend and on Sunday, May 4, 2025, with “WWII on the Potomac.”
The other cruises continue monthly from May to September, highlighting the following themes:
- Sunday, May 25, 2025, “Blackistone Lighthouse” from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Sunday, June 8, 2025, “St. Clement’s Island: Then & Now” from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Sunday, August 3, 2025, “Blackistone Lighthouse” from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Sunday, September 7, 2025, “WWII on the Potomac” from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Sunday, September 21, 2025, “What Lies Beneath the Potomac” from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
“Since we started these cruises in 2019, they have always sold out quickly,” said Karen Stone, Manager of the St. Mary’s County Museum Division. “We are excited that our friends at Morris Point will be returning to provide a delicious local seafood meal. Keep in mind that seats are limited to 20 per cruise, so get your tickets fast before we sell out!”
Tickets are $85 per person or $160 per couple (ages 21 and older only – no one under 21 will be admitted), and most dates include the boat ride, water tour and seafood dinner.
