Lost photos Indian Bridge Road

CALIFORNIA, Md. — A collection of printed photographs was recently discovered along Indian Bridge Road near the Salem State Forest lot, and a local family is asking for the community’s help returning them to their rightful owner.

The photos were found during a family bike ride, scattered in the grass between the forest’s lot and the next roadway. The collection includes both color and black-and-white images, showing family gatherings, celebrations, and what appear to be formal events. Many of the photos seem to span several decades and include portraits, group shots, and scenes that may have been captured at weddings, church functions or milestone celebrations.

A Walmart photo envelope was found nearby, but no name or contact information was included. However, one photo is inscribed with the message “Best Wishes Geraldine Bell,” which may be a helpful clue for identifying the family or the occasion.

“Almost all the photos are older, and most assumed no digital copy — I just figured the family might enjoy getting these back,” said the family who found them.

  1. The finders are caring people for attempting to get these photos back to the person/ family that lost them. I hope someone who knows this family sees this article.

  2. I’ll be honest with you, i recognize Jimmy Carter. Its kind of you, whoever you are, to take this issue to the press. Youngings: there was a day when you took a photo + you had to go get it developed + wait a week or 2 for it to come back.
