The ASPCA is on the ground assisting law enforcement with the rescue and removal of 23 dogs from an alleged fighting ring in Huntersville, North Carolina. The dogs—including seven puppies—were found tethered to heavy chains and living in filthy conditions. Many were thin and exhibited scars, bite marks, broken teeth and other injuries consistent with this brutal form of cruelty.
