
UPDATE – 12/10/2024 – Fatal Crash In Dunkirk Claims Life Of Washington D.C. Man
DUNKIRK, Md. — A motor vehicle collision along Route 4 near Cedarwood Lane claimed the life of a driver Monday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to the northbound side of Route 4 around 2:30 p.m. following multiple 911 reports of a car crashing into a tree.
First responders arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway. The driver, who was trapped inside, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collision. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
