On August 3 at 6:00 p.m. detectives of the Calvert Investigative Team Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team, executed a search warrant on a home on Ashwood Drive in Dunkirk for suspected criminal drug activity. Numerous drug related items including equipment used for growing marijuana, smoking devices, and a Glock 9mm handgun and ammunition were seized.
Police arrested Jesse Lee McCelvey, 26 of Dunkirk, on the scene and charged him with possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony, possession of marijuana, and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a homemade smoking device.
