WALDORF, Md. โ€” First responders rushed to the scene of a stabbing reported early Sunday morning at approximately 5:55 a.m. on the 4500 block of Grouse Place in Waldorf.

Dispatch indicated a frantic call for assistance, stating an adult male reported he had separated himself from a female subject during the altercation. Dispatch quickly upgraded the call to a priority-level stabbing, alerting EMS units that immediate medical attention was needed.

Upon arrival, first responders identified at least one victim with a significant laceration to the right wrist. The victim was stabilized by paramedics on the scene and then transported by ambulance to Charles Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The current condition of the patient has not been released at this time.

Units from Charles County Fire and EMS were dispatched and cleared from the scene by approximately 7:21 a.m.

The circumstances leading to the stabbing remain unclear, and an investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not yet provided additional information regarding the female party mentioned during the initial call or any potential arrests.
