Indian Head Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jeff Williams named eight year old Hunter Paulin the honorary fire chief on Monday night. Paulin attends Indian Head Elementary School, where he is in third grade.
“I’m very honored for this from the fire department,” Paulin said. “My brother doesn’t have this.”
Chief Jeff Williams stated that Paulin was chosen by a committee that all agreed that he deserves the honor. He volunteers to help during demonstrations, goes to open houses, and always has a positive attitude despite the fact that he has been dealing with a serious illness at his young age.
