LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — The end of an era has begun today with the start of the demolition of the old LPVFD/BDVFD (Station 3 on South Coral Drive), making way for future development.

For many years, this station has served as a cornerstone of the Lexington Park community. It has been the silent witness to countless acts of bravery, service, and camaraderie. As the beloved building is slowly torn down, the community takes a moment to reflect on the numerous memories it holds and the unwavering dedication of all the firefighters who considered it their second home.

“Thank you to everyone who has been a part of its history. Here’s to the future and the continued legacy of service and protection for our community,” said a representative of the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department.

The demolition plans also include the Tulagl Place building, which housed Linda’s Cafe for many years.
