LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Fans of Sir Paul McCartney and The Beatles are in for a treat as The McCartney Experience, led by acclaimed tribute performer Jed Duvall, is set to perform at The Rex in Leonardtown on Feb. 8, 2025. This marks the tribute band’s first performance at The Rex, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
Duvall, a Maryland native, has been praised for his uncanny resemblance to McCartney in appearance, mannerisms, and musical talent. A natural right-hander, Duvall taught himself to play left-handed to authentically replicate the former Beatle’s iconic style. His dedication, combined with the band’s tireless rehearsals, has made The McCartney Experience one of the most sought-after Paul McCartney tribute acts in the world.
The group returns stateside after a sold-out performance at Teatro Eslava in Madrid, Spain, where ABC Madrid hailed Duvall as “…the best Paul McCartney impersonator in the world.” Speaking about their upcoming Southern Maryland debut, Duvall shared his excitement: “After playing halfway around the world, we are looking forward to performing for our hometown audience in our first show in Southern Maryland!”

A Musical Journey Through McCartney’s Career
The McCartney Experience offers fans a journey through McCartney’s legendary career, performing hits from The Beatles, Wings, and McCartney’s solo catalog. The setlist includes fan favorites such as “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” “Silly Love Songs,” and “Listen to What the Man Said.”
In a special nod to McCartney’s lesser-played works, the band will also perform “No More Lonely Nights” from the 1984 film “Give My Regards to Broad Street,” a song McCartney himself has never performed live.
Duvall’s connection to McCartney runs deep, both as a fan and as a performer. “I’ve always enjoyed Paul the Performer, but I’m always amazed at the amount of variety coming from Paul the Songwriter,” said Duvall. “His music seemed to just grow as I did. So, playing his music feels like I’m telling the audience a bit about me.”
For Duvall, The McCartney Experience is more than just a tribute band. “Seeing The McCartney Experience is like seeing McCartney in a more intimate, personal setting,” he said. “This is no ‘Salute to Paul McCartney’ with a lot of glitz but not a lot of substance. Nor is it a Beatles tribute band. This is a chance to really experience Paul McCartney.”
Local Roots and Anticipation
In an interview with The BayNet, Duvall reflected on his ties to Southern Maryland, saying, “I actually grew up in Southern Maryland. My guitarist lives in Huntingtown, and he and I went to school in Brandywine, actually. I grew up in a small town called Croom, which is near Upper Marlborough, and my guitarist, David, grew up in Waldorf.”
He also teased what fans can expect: “People can look forward to hearing a lot of songs they know, some they haven’t heard in a long time, and basically songs they can sing and dance along to. Just come prepared to sing along, dance along. We’re really looking forward to playing in Southern Maryland.”
Tickets Expected to Sell Out
With The McCartney Experience’s reputation for delivering authentic and heartfelt performances, tickets for the Feb. 8 show at The Rex are in high demand. Fans are encouraged to secure their spots quickly to avoid missing out on this unforgettable musical experience.
