Officers of the Year Will Also be Recognized
The St. Mary’s County Department of Aging, TRIAD/S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) council, and the Board of County Commissioners will sponsor Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The 13th annual ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 11:30 a.m., at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, 44219 Airport Road, California, MD 20619.
The event is held each year during National Police Memorial Week to pay tribute to law officers who have perished in the line of duty as well as honors the “Officer of the Year” selected by each county agency, based on their outstanding service to the community.
