UPDATE – 79-Year-Old Lexington Park Woman Identified In Fatal Route 5 Crash

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A fatal crash has shut down a major intersection in Lexington Park late Friday morning.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 8:51 a.m. on Feb. 13, 2026, to the intersection of Point Lookout Road and Willows Road for a motor vehicle collision involving heavy entrapment.

According to emergency medical services, one patient was pronounced dead at the scene. A second occupant was evaluated by EMS and transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.

The intersection was shut down for several hours as crews remained on site and investigators began examining the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as the roadway closure remains in effect.

  2. Car crashing does show seat belts,no or yes. Like
    THE accident in lexington park, driver out of the vehicle. Guess no seat belt. Maybe would have safed his life.
