LUSBY, Md. — Two Southern Maryland women are facing multiple felony and misdemeanor drug charges following a months-long narcotics investigation spanning Calvert and St. Mary’s counties.

Kelly Greenan, 36, of Leonardtown, and Lauren Marie Brown, 38, of Lusby, were arrested on March 19, 2026, following an investigation by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit.

The investigation began earlier in 2026 after deputies responded to an unattended death in Lusby that was later suspected to be related to a fatal overdose. Detectives developed information indicating possible narcotics distribution activity tied to multiple individuals.

According to investigators, Greenan was identified as a suspected supplier of controlled dangerous substances, allegedly coordinating transactions and meeting with individuals to distribute narcotics in Calvert County. Authorities say surveillance and phone data showed her traveling between St. Mary’s and Calvert counties in connection with the activity.

Brown was also identified during the investigation and is accused of being involved in communications related to narcotics transactions and payments.

On March 19, detectives conducted surveillance as the suspects traveled into Calvert County in a black Toyota Tundra. During that operation, authorities observed what they believed to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction at a Lusby-area gas station involving an unidentified male.

Following the encounter, deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop and took both women into custody without incident.

A search of the vehicle and those involved reportedly led to the recovery of suspected narcotics and related items, including oxycodone pills, suspected heroin, Suboxone strips, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, packaging materials, and approximately $380 in cash.

Investigators also reported locating suspected heroin concealed on Greenan after her arrest at the detention center.

Greenan was charged with distribution of narcotics, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute, possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of contraband in a place of confinement.

Brown was charged with distribution of narcotics, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute, possession of controlled dangerous substances, and possession of paraphernalia.

Both women were initially held without bond following their arrests.

A hearing is set for April 17, 2026 in Calvert District Court.

  1. Keep them incarcerated. Both are obviously a danger to the community dealing that poison.
