Leonardtown, MD –The construction of Phase 1A of the FDR Boulevard project, (aka reconstruction of Amber Drive), from MD 237 (Chancellors Run Road) to the Kinnegad Drive intersection in Great Mills, is set to begin on or about March 21. Construction will continue for approximately one year until the work is complete. Crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
During construction, motorists traveling on Amber Drive should expect to encounter construction vehicles and experience minor traffic delays. Drivers are asked to be alert to changes in conditions during this time. Dates and times of construction work could change due to weather conditions.
