Around 9:15 P.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2011, crews were dispatched to the 10000 block of Allens Fresh Road off of Budds Creek Road for the reported house fire. Dispatched informed responding crews that it was initially a chimney fire that the homeowner attempted to put out and was then believed to have spread into the structure its self. Crews arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from the structure and immediately worked to locate and extinguish the fire. Crews discovered that the chimney had a large crack in it and the chimney reached the structure through it. The damage was contained to the area around the chimney with no injuries reported.
