COLTONS POINT, Md. — On August 29, 2024 at approximately 12:20 p.m. fire and rescue personnel responded to reports of a porch fire that had spread to a residence in the 38000 block of Bayview Road. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing flames emerging from second-floor windows.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire on the second story of the home, with flames extending further into the structure.
The fire crews worked quickly, bringing the blaze under control within 20 minutes. They continued to extinguish hot spots and check for any further spread of the fire. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal has been called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. The extent of the damage and the estimated cost of repairs have not yet been determined.
