LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The St. Mary’s County bi-monthly card show will return to The Rex Theatre in Leonardtown on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature 18 vendors offering a wide variety of sports and gaming cards, providing an opportunity for local collectors to buy, sell, and trade without the need to travel long distances.
Phil Lindemann, from King of Cards, explained that the show aims to bring back regular sports and trading card events to the St. Mary’s County area. “So the show is bringing back Sports and Trading Card Shows to the St. Mary’s County area on a regular basis,” Lindemann said. “We started back up in October and are continuing as a regular bi-monthly show held in The Rex Theater.”
The event will feature popular sports brands like Topps, Panini, and Leaf, as well as Pokemon cards. It is an opportunity for local collectors to expand, sell, or trade their collections without the hassle of driving hours away or using online platforms like eBay.
The event will also include special holiday giveaways, box break contests by each vendor, and the possibility of a surprise visit from Santa. “If Santa does end up coming, we will do something to tie in with him,” Lindemann teased.
The card show will be held on the second Saturday of every other month, and admission is free for all attendees. Door prize raffles and events within the card shop will also be part of the show’s festivities.
