NORTH BEACH, Md. — Flynn’s Arcade & Bar is one step closer to joining the North Beach business scene.
Flynn’s got a recommendation from the North Beach Planning Commission at its Jan. 22 meeting after updating its fire safety plan to account for furniture in the space and number of seats.
Zoning Administrator Rick Crump said Flynn’s first received preliminary approval back in May. It also got change-of-use permission for the property, which used to be a home and furniture store. Flynn’s has kept the community updated through its Facebook page.
Once complete, Flynn’s will feature 15-plus classic and modern arcade games, pool tables, pinball and more. The business will also have a bar, serving beer, wine, cocktails and nonalcoholic beverages. There will be a stage to host DJs and live bands. Flynn’s will not have a kitchen or a food menu, but plans to sell packaged snacks like chips and candy bars, according to one of the owners, Francisco Jimenez.
The Planning Commission complimented the owners on the updates to their plan, including the comprehensiveness of the fire safety plan and updates to parking for employees.
There’s no word yet on when Flynn’s will open. There’s been plenty of interest from the community, who are closely following the business’s journey.

Yeah, just what we need in NB another bar.
If this is for amusement younger residents, who reside in the area are and I hope not are not going to benefit from this establishment. They are going to be serving alcoholic beverages. Customers drinking and driving. Just more problems with week-end partying, driving, traffic, other issues. We shall SEE!!
