LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Bump, set, spike — and sign up. St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks is bringing back its adult volleyball league this fall and winter, with weekly games based at the Margaret Brent Recreation Center. Organizers say the season runs October through February, with schedules sent once all teams are set.
Teams can be built from friends, family or coworkers. Rosters must list at least seven players and can hold up to 20, though only six take the court at a time. If you’re still hunting for a squad, the county is welcoming “free agents.” Complete the individual form and, once a team picks you up, staff will help finalize your placement.
Registration is open now — tap here to register online. Questions about rosters, rules or gym availability can be sent to Sports Coordinator Zachary Zalovick at zachary.zalovick@stmaryscountymd.gov.
With cooler weather on the way, county staff say the league is a reliable way to keep moving, meet new people and claim bragging rights until spring. The only thing missing is your serve.
