Lexington Park, MD – A huge parcel of commercial property in Southern Maryland is about to change ownership. According to a press release from Rockville-based Scheer Partners, U-Haul International has purchased a 94,000 square-foot retail property on Signature Lane in Lexington Park. Scheer officials declined to release the price U-Haul International will pay the seller, Hollywood, MD-based Fairland Market Inc. The transaction was brokered by Scheer Partners’ Vice President of Investment Sales Sandra Hunt.
“The buyer will use the property for truck and trailer rentals, rental supplies, propane sales, storage and for U-Box rentals,” the press release stated.
The building used to house a McKay’s Food and Drug Store.
