SEVERN, Md. — A July shooting that rattled two Severn neighborhoods has led to multiple arrests and the recovery of firearms and drugs after a weeks-long investigation by Anne Arundel County police.
Officers first responded July 7, 2025 to reports of gunfire in the 8100 block of Meade Village Road, where they found bullet damage to homes there and in the 1600 block of Meade Village Circle. No injuries were reported, but detectives quickly determined several people were involved.
By late September, investigators had narrowed down four suspects and secured search warrants for two Severn homes. The raids, carried out Sept. 23, led to the arrest of one juvenile without incident, while another was cited on drug charges. A third suspect, also a juvenile, was already being held in connection with a separate June shooting in Hanover. The fourth was located Sept. 26 during a search in Hanover.
Authorities say the investigation also turned up a cache of weapons and narcotics, including two handguns, ammunition, Suboxone strips, MDMA in pill and powder form, and more than 63 grams of cannabis.
Those charged include a 15-year-old Severn male who prosecutors are charging as an adult; another 15-year-old in custody for the earlier Hanover shooting; 25-year-old Darren Raul Donastorg of Brooklyn, Md.; and a fourth 15-year-old Severn male facing controlled dangerous substance violations.
Detectives say the case remains active and urged anyone with information to email tips to Anonymous_Tips_WDDU@aacounty.org.
