PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The shadows are gathering once again as the 4th Annual Frights and Fears Horror Series prepares to unleash an unforgettable night of spine-chilling cinema. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the Kocen Arts Center in Prince Frederick, Maryland will transform into a haven for horror enthusiasts eager to celebrate the best in independent fright filmmaking.

This year’s program showcases short horror films from around the globe, with entries from the US, Spain, Belgium, Germany and more, giving audiences a chance to experience bold, imaginative, and terrifying visions from emerging and established filmmakers. From psychological thrillers and supernatural tales to pulse-pounding slashers, the Frights and Fears Horror Series promises a diverse lineup that pushes the boundaries of the genre.

“Independent horror filmmaking has always been at the forefront of creativity and innovation,” said Anthony M. Greene, festival organizer. “The Frights and Fears Horror Series continues to highlight storytellers from all over the world, who use the language of horror not only to scare us, but to challenge us, entertain us, and connect us across cultures. Being able to offer this event for free to our community is a great opportunity to continue to support the arts in Calvert County and we are very appreciative that the Kocen Arts Center has been created to further the advancements of the arts in Calvert County.”
