Fun Run To Support Brain Cancer Research To Be Held At Horsmon Farm

ST. LEONARD, Md. – This Fun Run/Walk scheduled for May 4, 2024, at Horsmon Farm, is for a great lady and also a dear friend of many in the community, Ms. Cindy Horsmon, who is retired from Calvert County Public Schools after teaching Calvert’s finest for 30 years.

Please read Cindy’s personal account of the events that took place early last year.

“One year ago on March 15, 2023, I was diagnosed with a large mass on the right side of my brain. My only symptom was a migraine that just wouldn’t go away after two days. My doctor thought I should have a CT scan. That afternoon I was sent directly to my local ER and late that evening flown to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital,” said Horsmon.

“On March 17, I was operated on, and a tumor was removed. Weeks later when pathology reports came in it confirmed the tumor was cancer. I looked at my team of doctors and told them I would do everything and anything they thought I should do. That I would fight this with every ounce of my being.”

Cindy has chosen the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center because 100% of the donations go to research.

Please get involved in this worthy cause for Cindy, and lets make a significant impact in the research for Brain Cancer.

Participation or donations are greatly appreciated.
