Geraldine “Gerry” M. Haizlip, 76, of Leonardtown, MD, formerly of Caribou, ME, passed away on October 26, 2025, in Leonardtown, MD. Born on June 9, 1949, in Caribou, ME, she was the daughter of the late Vera LaPorte and the late Andrew LaPorte. Gerry was the loving wife of the late Rodney Finch Haizlip, whom she married on January 23, 1971, in Maine, and who preceded her in death on August 25, 2024. She is survived by her children, Michael Haizlip of Drayden, MD, Lori Haizlip of Callaway, MD, and Lynn Porter (John) of Leonardtown, MD, her grandchildren, Chelsea Haizlip, Zachary May, and Jeremy Haizlip, and her great grandchildren, Layla Tennyson, Henry Tennyson, and Rowan May. In addition to her parents and husband, Gerry was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katherine “Katie” Haizlip, on October 10, 2013.
Gerry was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, cooking, and playing pool. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Gerry will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
