Charlotte Hall, MD – Charlotte Hall Veterans Home was honored to host Governor Larry Hogan on February 27, 2016, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate completion of their metal rooftop replacement project.ย  The project was fully funded by Maryland Department of General Services and took approximately six months to complete.

โ€œThe veterans and spouses who live at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home deserve a home that is comfortable and secure,โ€ said Governor Hogan. โ€œI am happy to be in St. Mary’s County today for this ribbon cutting, and am proud that we were able to provide the funds necessary to build this new roof.โ€

Following the ceremony, Governor Hogan and the First Lady enjoyed lunch and friendly visits with residents of the Home.

Since being sworn in last January, the Hogan administration has shown tremendous support of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.ย  In October, First Lady Yumi Hogan visited their new public art gallery and met with local artists.ย  A few weeks later, Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford toured the facility and visited with veterans on Veterans Day.โ€
