LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Osirus Holmes, 27, of Lexington Park, has been indicted on a nine-count criminal case that includes felony robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault, and multiple conspiracy and property destruction charges, according to court documents.

Prosecutors allege Holmes and a co-assailant robbed and assaulted a man at gunpoint on March 10, 2025, at a location along Three Notch Road in California, Maryland. The indictment states Holmes, armed with a dangerous weapon, stole personal property from the victim and then conspired with an accomplice to carry out the attack.

Holmes is charged with both armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery — each carrying a maximum penalty of 20 years — as well as robbery (15 years), first-degree assault (25 years) and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault (25 years). Additional charges include second-degree assault, theft of under $1,500, and two counts of malicious destruction of property valued under and over $1,000. The property charges carry maximum penalties of up to 60 days and/or a $500 fine, and three years and/or a $2,500 fine, respectively.

Holmes appeared before Judge Joseph Michael Stanalonis for a bond review on May 29, 2025, and was held without bond. The court later issued a bench warrant on July 14 after Holmes failed to appear for a status hearing. That warrant remains active. The defendant had previously retained Oleg Fastovsky of the Killian Law Group, but records show Fastovsky was removed as counsel as of June 10, 2025.

Holmes is currently facing more than 100 years in combined statutory maximum penalties across the nine charges. Jury trial dates previously scheduled for early September were vacated. As of the latest court filings, no new trial date has been set.

  1. Great job Judge. Accused of a violent crime and used a dangerous weapon. He should be held for his trial.
