Recreation and Parks will be offering lifeguard training for individuals interested in becoming a lifeguard. The training will be held at the Great Mills Swimming Pool from May 5 – May 14 and will be approximately a 32 hour course.
Dates of the classes are: May 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14. The course will certify in life guarding, CPR, first aid, and AED training. The cost of the training will be $175.00 per person. All materials and training time is included in the price. The class is limited to 12 participants on a first come first serve basis. Minimum age for the class is 16 years of age.
Registration will be held on-line or walk-in at the Great Mills Swimming Pool starting Monday, April 4 at 8:30 am. Last day to register on-line or walk in, is Thursday, April 28.
To register on line you can go to the Recreation and Parks website www.stmarysmd.com/recreate and click on “on line registration.” If you have an account established, sign in using your username and password; if you do not have a user name or password, complete the request information and a temporary username and password will be emailed to you within two business days, or you can call 301-475-4200 x 1800 Monday- Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm for a staff member to assist you.
