There are more showers possible this afternoon and this evening — however, showers are expected to be gone by Friday and weather is expected to remain hazard free until Wednesday.
There have been numerous showers and thunderstorms throughout the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac, and Southern Maryland this morning.
“Heavy rainfall may lead to localized flash flooding of small streams and creeks as well as urban areas,” the National Weather Service of Baltimore, MD, and Washington, D.C. report reads in part.
The NWS says additional showers and thunderstorms are possible.
“Additional thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into this evening,” the NWS reported. “Storms will have a potential to be severe with locally damaging winds and large hail being the primary threat.”
The NWS expects no hazardous weather Friday through Wednesday.
