A heavy snow warning remains in effect for St. Mary’s and surrounding counties from 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
As of 10:20 a.m., the National Weather Service reports the light rain falling now will change over to all snow during the afternoon hours and become heavy at times this evening. The storm may also be accompanied by thunder.
There is 6 to 10 inches of snow possible tonight and 1 to 3 new inches on Sunday before the storm passes.
