HOLLYWOOD, Md. – Historic Sotterley will be hosts its second Friendly Friday Community Market on September 11th from 4:00 pm—7:00 pm. Join us as we come together to celebrate and support our local businesses during these challenging times! Friendly Friday Markets not only will showcase a variety of local vendors each week but will also have special demos or activities tailored to the theme of the week. Our three Friday markets will lead up to our biggest event “The Riverside Community Marketplace” taking place on October 3rd and 4th.
This week’s theme is “First Responders, First in our Hearts”. On a day when our nation looks back and remembers, we will come together to thank and appreciate our active duty Military members and all branches of our First Responders—the people who are there when we need them most. Show your first responder or military ID and Historic Sotterley offer a coupon for tour and Museum Store discounts. Additionally, many vendors will offer discounts or have special offerings for our responders—look for a special marker which will be displayed at their tent! We are also proud to host MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, Health Connections who will be available on site with health information.
Some of the great products you will find at the Market this week are: pickles, local honey, spices, artwork, jewelry, baked goods, perfume, skin care and manicure products, books, KettleKorn, wine, and more. There will also be food trucks on site (dinner is covered!) and you can even stroll the Market with a glass of wine! While it is easy to social distance at Historic Sotterley, we require that masks be worn at the Market for the safety of our guests, vendors, staff and volunteers.
