NANJEMOY, Md. — Authorities are searching for the driver of a white work van involved in a hit-and-run that left a woman injured Friday afternoon in Charles County.

Emergency crews responded to Hojack Place around 12:30 p.m, on Feb. 28, 2025, after reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. EMS found a female victim suffering from injuries.

Investigators believe the collision was tied to an assault incident, though details on the circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. The driver fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and has not yet released further details on the suspect or the victim’s condition. Updates will be provided as they become available.
