LA PLATA, Md. – The Holiday Season is upon us. Parcel thefts from porches will increase through the end of the year. In an effort to prevent having your parcels stolen, consider having them delivered to the La Plata Police Department (LPPD).
LPPD will accept parcels at 101 La Grange Avenue from December 2 through December 21. LPPD will not accept delivery of any oversized, flammable, explosives, fireworks, or firearms. If you have any questions, please call (301) 934-1500
Package thefts totaled 119 million in 2023, equivalent to one out of every 180 package deliveries. Collectively, Americans lost $13.4 billion to package theft; the average stolen package was worth $112.30.
