STRUCTURE FIRE IN MARYLAND

WALDORF, Md. – A house fire broke out early Sunday morning at 5217 Caroline Circle, Waldorf, Md., prompting a swift response from local fire units and emergency services.

At approximately 12:20 a.m., emergency dispatchers received multiple calls reporting a house fully engulfed in flames. One caller, believed to be the homeowner, initially reported the fire but stopped responding to questions after being advised to evacuate. Additional callers confirmed the severity of the blaze, with one reporting a propane tank explosion at the scene.

Fire units from several stations responded to the incident. Upon arrival, crews observed fire showing through the roof of the single-story residence. Firefighters established command and began operations, including laying out hoses from nearby hydrants and conducting a primary search of the property. The search was negative, indicating no one was found inside the home.

Crews worked to contain lingering flames, particularly on the rear side of the house. Power was secured, and firefighters exercised caution due to the presence of a propane tank on the property.

Support from the Red Cross was requested for those affected by the fire. No injuries were reported among residents or emergency personnel. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
