Tall Timbers, MD – Firefighting crews were dispatched to one-story house in St. Mary’s County Tuesday morning, Jan. 26, state officials reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, the blaze, which caused $150,000 damage, occurred around 10:30 a.m. at a home on Shore Drive in Tall Timbers.
“The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental in nature,” stated Dfm. Zack Dell. “There was no one home at the time the fire was discovered by a neighbor.” Dell reported the fire originated in a garage.
Forty firefighters from Second District, Bay District, Leonardtown, Hollywood, Seventh District and Patuxent River Naval Air Station responded to the one-alarm blaze and brought the flames under control in 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The owner/occupant of the home was identified as J. Carter.

Valley Lee, MD – Jan. 26th, 10:35 a.m. – A house fire has been reported in the 49000 block of Shore Drive. Units are responding.
