The Huntingtown Hurricanes rolled into Morganza to face the Chopticon Bravesย on Thursdayย afternoon, April 8,ย and came away with a dominating 12-5 victory. The sun and warm temperatures held out long enough as the winds started to kick up throughout the game.

Huntingtown started the scoring on a goal from Andrew Fulginiti with 9:59 remaining in the first quarter and never looked back taking a 4-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 5-1 lead at the half.

Chopticon broke through with 33 seconds remaining in the first half on the first of three goals from Nick Landavazo. Chopticon(3-2) also added goals from Chris Schopmer and Sean Keating in the second half.

Huntingtown and coach Pete Kerwin were led by Brian Johnstonโ€™s four goals and three assists and four goals from Steven Athens. Tyler Ricchiuto added two tallies for the Hurricanes(2-2).
