
Indian Head, Md. – On Nov. 1 at 9:45 p.m., Charles county police arrested an Indian Head man identified as Dean Tobin, 24, for numerous charges involving possession of an illegal hand gun.ย
According to the Maryland State police, Tobin was driving a white Chevy Camero northbound on Indian Head Highway when he was pulled over for an equipment violation. Before pulling over, Tobin made a U-turn and drove through a Burger King and Napa Auto Parts parking lot when he was observed reaching over to the glove box by the officer before coming to a stop.ย
Upon coming in contact with the driver, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the car. A probable cause search revealed a loaded Ruger 9mm handgun with a filed off serial number in the glove box.ย
Tobin received several charges including, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and was held at the Charles County Detention Center.ย
