Around 7:20 p.m. on Friday evening, January 5, a woman was struck by a car outside Canopy Liquors on Great Mills Road.
The woman, according to Maryland State Police, stepped out in front of the vehicle. “It was not a fatal accident, but a personal injury,” a representative from the Leonardtown Barracks confirmed to The Bay Net. A chopper landed at nearby Great Mills High School to transport the woman for medical treatment.
Hours later on a nearby road a second woman was struck by a car, this time fatally. She has been identified as local woman Susan Proctor, and died from her injuries on arrival at St. Mary’s Hospital. For more information about this crash see here.
