PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Anyone with kids in their life can agree that kids are always in need of new clothes, toys, or books as they grow up. That means families are left with a lot of items they don’t need and are constantly spending money on new things That’s where consignment sales come in.
Consigning and thrifting have long been a go-to for frugal families. With these options, you can get things you need for much cheaper than the retail price. Many families also opt for consignment to try to make back some of the money they spent on big-ticket items, or prefer the resale market because it’s more eco-friendly and you get the most out of the items.
There are several large-scale consignment sales going on in the next couple of months around Maryland — and they may be worth the drive or the early admission price if you’ve been looking for something for the right price. Consignment shoppers have scored on items like strollers, musical instruments, or even bedroom furniture at these sales.
