CALIFORNIA, Md. – On September 30, 2024, at 10:15 a.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to a kitchen fire with injuries on Lizson Court near Bethson Street in California, Maryland.
Crews arrived at the scene to find the home showing smoke and one person suffering from burns. EMS requested a MEDEVAC but was down due to the weather. The patient was by ground to MedStar Washington Burn Center for treatment. A second patient signed a care refusal on the scene.
