
UPDATE: Fall Festival Still On from 10–3 ; Car Show Portion is Canceled Due to Weather
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The SkillsUSA chapter at Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center will host its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, offering a full day of games, crafts, vendors and fall-themed activities for families across Southern Maryland. The event is open to the public and aims to bring the community together while supporting student programs and career readiness initiatives.
The event features activities for all ages, including games, crafts, raffles, food options and a day inspired by the theme “Pumpkins, Plaid and Plenty of Fun.” Local vendors will also be on-site with handmade goods, treats and displays. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, located at 24005 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, Md. 20650.
UPDATE: Car Show Portion Canceled Due to Weather
A SkillsUSA Fall Fest Car Show will take place the same day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school. The first 50 entrants will receive an FCTC dash plaque, and trophies will be awarded for Best in Show, People’s Choice and Kids’ Favorite. Car show participation costs $15 per entry.
Event organizers are seeking additional vendors for the festival. Tables are available for $20, and each vendor space includes one table and two chairs. For general questions about the festival or car show, or to register as a vendor, email mkthompson@smcps.org.
The Fall Festival is open to the public and provides SkillsUSA students with opportunities to engage the community while helping raise support for student programs.
