
Lester Eugene Huett, 95, of Lusby, MD, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025 in Prince Frederick, MD.
Born on December 25, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Conn Elvie Huett and Myrtle Lourie Huett.
Lester was a retired Veteran having serviced over 20 years in the United States Navy. He achieved the rank of Aviation Structural Mechanic (Hydraulic) Chief petty officer and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign wars (VFW).
Having moved to Maryland in 1969 after his discharge, he moved to southern Maryland and began his career as a contractor for BAE in 1989. Lester enjoyed many outdoor activities. He was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. He reveled in boar hunting in North Carolina, bass fishing on his bass boat, and looked forward to his deer hunting week with friends every Thanksgiving. He took several camping trips and was an all-around adventurous traveler having been to Germany, Poland and enjoyed several cruises to Hawaii. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club, the Pax River Gun Club and even took time to join a bowling league.
Lester is survived by his children, Donna Smith of Jamestown, TN, Stephen โSteveโ Huett (Jeannie) of Avenue, MD, Kristy Lynne Clements of Lusby, MD, Debra Huett of California, Sharon Fox (Bob) of Wake Forest, NC, Frank Taylor (Janet) of Lexington Park, MD, Danielle LaTulippe Coleman of Cary, NC, and Jennifer LaTulippe Maise of Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren, Lisa Moore, Nathan Huett, Nicolette Green, Mark Clements, Jr., Autumn Clements, and great-grandchildren, Harley, Brooklyn, Carson, Madison, Tyler, Sicily, and Athena.
Family will receive friends โโat Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650 on Thursday, February 6, 2025 for a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a service beginning at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
