LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A 46-year-old Lexington Park man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he allegedly refused to comply with multiple commands from deputies to stop yelling and causing a disturbance in a residential neighborhood.
The incident occurred on Aug. 1, 2025, at about 11 p.m. on Valley Estates Drive. According to the statement of probable cause, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a disturbance and arrived to find what they described as multiple people yelling and threatening each other.
A sergeant on scene reportedly informed the crowd multiple times that anyone initiating another disturbance would be arrested. Despite this, a man later identified as Gerrell Causey Dewit Robinson began yelling at a group of individuals. Deputies wrote that even after being separated, he continued to shout.
The sergeant then approached Robinson directly and advised him that if he continued to yell and cause a disturbance, he would be arrested. Robinson allegedly disregarded these instructions and was subsequently placed in handcuffs.
Gerrell Robinson was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of up to 60 days in jail and a fine of up to $500. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and released the following day on a $2,000 unsecured personal bond. A trial is scheduled for Sept. 11, 2025.
