LEXINGTON PARK, Md. โ€” Two people sustained injuries Saturday morning when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Pegg Road in Lexington Park. Emergency responders rushed to the scene around 7:29 a.m. to assist the injured drivers.

The Lexington Park traffic accident occurred on September 6, 2025, blocking the roadway at the busy intersection. According to dispatch, both vehicles remained in the roadway following the collision. Consequently, multiple St. Mary’s County emergency units responded to provide medical assistance and traffic control.

EMS dispatched several ambulances to handle the two injured victims. Additionally, St. Mary’s County fire units responded to assist with scene safety. The Lexington Park traffic accident required coordination between multiple emergency agencies to manage both medical care and traffic flow.

Paramedics classified both victims as requiring Basic Life Support level care. Furthermore, emergency crews worked systematically to assess injuries and prepare patients for transport. The accident scene remained active while responders provided medical treatment.

The intersection of Three Notch Road and Pegg Road is known for heavy traffic during morning hours. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by authorities.

Neither victim’s condition nor the extent of injuries has been released. Additionally, whether hospital transport was required has not been confirmed by emergency services.
